Yea, I know how you feel.

I used to use Sketchup to model, (or rather to start practising 3D modelling), and the controls are really intuitive and easy to use. So I also found it difficult to change from them to Blender.

I know modelling can be difficult, especially if you are new to it. We have had quite a few requests over the years to have more file types included in the import options, as such, FBX is becoming quite prominent within the animation industry, so it seemed logical that we include it.

I personally used to know very little about modelling up until I started watching these YouTube tutorials on Blender.


Now I feel more confident with it and although I would still say I'm not a modeller, I can put together some nice basic things and import them over using the FBX exporter.

The Wiki is also getting updated all the time to include tutorials and helpful information regarding the new features, be it the FBX importing or hand holding stuff.

I hope you download Blender and give it a go as it's not hard at all once you watch a few I should know as I was the biggest sceptic around! Now I can make quite a few objects and get them in Muvizu!

We have all been through the pain of getting to grips with 3D modelling and still all struggle. When I started with Muvizu I knew nothing, and I mean nothing about 3D models.

I still know very, very little about them but over time have built up enough knowledge to be able to get at least somewhere and enable Muvizu to do what I want it to.

This is not so much Muvizu's fault, but rather where 3D modelling technology is at the moment.

If it's not there I can only assume that you do not have the latest version. Click on ? and go to about. The version with the licence manager is MZASS-v1.2 build 2013.10.05.10R
