Magic, now we have ground and sky as it should be. This is a cheap entry level card but does have a PCI fitting for older machines like mine, Dell 2400! A new lease of life for my set-up until I can afford a new box. Cost was £40.00 from Play.com. Arrived here (South West Wales) in 24 hours.

I thought it was my inexperience with the application that was the problem!
Crank up the illumination to maximum for a little more difference between sky and ground.
New graphics card on order that supports shader 3.
I'll get there eventually.

Indeed Danimal is right. Some of our community members had the same problem and it's related to their video cards.

Your video card doesn't support the Pixel Shader 3.0 feature that is required by Muvizu.
You can check the minimum requirements here : http://muvizu.com/Download/
