Just making an animation to enter for the Fusion competition to see if I can fire off one in a day (I mean, how fast is your news report turnaround?!). So far so good...

turnaround for the latest episode

from start (idea) to finish (final edit) was roughly 3 -3 1/2 hrs

But I have the main set ready for use each time obviously!

cheers

Hi everyone! My entry for the competition was turned down, but my expectations weren't high. What I want to know is did ANY Muvizu creation make the cut?

Certainly none of mine did! There will be a video about this sometime soon!

I've been lucky enough with this one..

Feedback on Muvizu - 5th September 2011 (ENG) Dialogue sync problems...
I feel your pain
I have tried a couple of scenes with more than two characters involved in the conversation and I just gave up. I'm keeping projects/scenes like that in the box until the multiple audio track feature is put in place. That way I could assign one piece of audio per character and forget altogether about talk and shush controls.

If we wait long enough , the day will come. I've convinced myself!

2gb limit? Tip as Mysto says smaller chuncks are the way to go as I'm sure you already realised. They give you more flexibility too editing wise I feel

Extras!! Casts of thousands it is then!

Extras!! Fair enough, but if the option was there it would be more than fantastic!

Glowing! I mean, you can't have candles or lightbulbs looking like, you know, candles or lightbulbs because we can't have a visible light source, like a glowing ember or star or what have you. It would be nice to show the source of the light, not just the result.

great idea!

Yes folks, this feature has been a long requested one, but the main point of my post was to suggest the automated animation feature for extras and to see what the other Muvizu-ers thought of that?

If you have a scene in a bar for instance and you have two main characters in shot but behind you would like to see many extras chatting, laughing etc, at the moment we have to prepare and direct the animation for every single character.
A feature which could make a character/extra become automatically animated without direction throughout the scene would be an immense time saver.

I've already experienced having to animate every single "extra" in a bar scene and it was a fairly time consuming process. I would most definitely welcome an " automated animation feature for extras".

Yes poor old Mysto could have benefited greatly from this "extras" feature when animating garage band blues I'm sure!

Random requests! http://www.mediacollege.com/adobe/photoshop/tool/images/toolbox.gif

How about a toolbox which contains all or most of the menu icons (prepare modes, direct modes etc) for even easier access?
I'd much rather use a toolbox than the menu any day!

Can't do a proper sports segment in "On the News" without them!

Wonder what the next update will bring?...

On the News With Dixk Bracken and Dave Chumley's contracts being as watertight as they are guest reports may prove too difficult for the On the News legal department.

Stay tuned for more news related nonsense!

These are really what muvizu was designed for! so on the pulse!

Is this true?

No, just a bit of hyperbole, but it is a refreshing use of Muvizu in that it can be so current. It's tricky to do news satire as animation because, as Freakmoomin pointed out, it takes too long.

Muvizu is great for making any kind of movie. At the moment I'm enjoying making the On the News episodes at the moment but that doesn't mean that there won't be some other genres coming your way from my strange little brain!
Glad you're all enjoying them anyhoo.
Thanks for all the comments

Feedback on Muvizu - 5th September 2011 (ENG) I like having the ability to overwrite the head movements contained in the character action by head/eyes direction. It suits the way I do things but maybe that's just me...
