Yes?

Cheers

D

Is this something that is indeed planned? I've done a lot of animation (attempted to do a lot of animation) applications in other programs, and I know that timing is variable. By using only a single audio file, you cannot change your mind in production to either extend or shorten a scene without re-cutting the entire dialog file again. Having only a single file, seems to be, to be a rather severe limitation. Well that and no interaction with props, but...

I'm no expert on sound cards, but I've seen this kind of problem before, and it can be the Windows audio buffer. How you change it depends on which version of Windows you've got, but usually making it bigger helps (although conversely reducing it can also help! Ahh, computers... ). While you wait for the coders to check it out, it can't hurt to try changing the buffer setting, see if it makes a difference.

Howdy.

The audio sync problem is something that we are aware of, but it's been hard to pin down.
If it happens, can you send in your set file to bugs@muvizu.com with a description of what you did to make the audio out of sync, and where in the timeline it happens. Sorry if it's a hassle, but it's difficult for the coders to fix things without knowing EXACTLY how to recreate it.

Cheers!

Good point dreeko, I'm busy myself with my pilot episode and the only thing that
Is very difficult is the audio dialog.......
I am also reverting to audacity for the timing and lenth of dialog.
Yes, I think the audio mixer with multiple tracks would save a hell of a lot of work.
Come on team, I know you want our movies quick and fast!!!
Give us the Tools and we will deliver..

Ar men, thankyou o great mighty code gods..

Artpen xxxx
edited by artpen on 17/06/2011

I have to totally agree with myself here.

The hours wasted tweaking talk and shush points on the timeline are more than tongue can tell!

The multiple audio tracks feature could remove the task of directing and adjusting dialogue on the timeline entirely, allowing us to focus our energies on other aspects of the muvizu process.

I can picture this feature so clearly that I even have a dreeko tutorial in mind for it!

Cheers

D

Hello peeps!

I'm currently trying to create a little movie with a number of different characters who all have to speak at different times.

This is my problem:

I know for a fact that certain characters speak at specific times in the audio and if I play the audio from the start then all is well , but if I try and direct audio by starting just before the character should talk then I find that the audio has jumped out of place as if i had physically moved it along the timeline. I've experienced this in the previous version of Muvizu as well but it wasn't such an issue at the time purely due the the nature of the movies I was working on at the time.

I have had to resort to using audacity alongside muvizu to pin point exactly when the talk and shush points occur.

Hopefully the new UI will incorporate a visual representation of the audio at some point, which would greatly improve matters, or fingers crossed, the highly anticipated individual audio tracks feature!

Oh... How much time would that save us!

Hunners!

Cheers
D
edited by Dreeko on 17/06/2011
