I've recently had the pleasure of using Muvizu on a Nvidia GTX460, and it literally runs like a dream. I've not yet been able to make a scene that makes it even begin to slow down - even if there are loads of lights with realistic shadows, and lots of smoke effects everywhere etc. It's mad! I'm an NVidia person myself and I've had good experiences with my nvidia GT 430. It runs Muvizu just fine and is a great all rounder that's fairly cheap. The nvidia 9800 GT is a great all-rounder and, whilst it doesn't support Direct X 11, it'll get the job done with just about everything else. The ATI equivalent card for the 9800 is the Radeon 483.

You can pick up an ATI Radeon HD 5670 from Amazon.com for under eighty dollars at the moment which really surprised me. I'd say that, for under a hundred dollars, that's one of the best cards that you can get.

The stated minimum requirements are a Nvidia 7800 GTX or ATI 1300 graphics card. Trouble is those are old model cards. I think the NVidi 7800 is from 2005, so I am having a problem figuring out what current model of card to get

I tried Muvizu with my secondary PC with integrated video and Muvizu runs slow as expected so I'd like to get an inexpensive card that will do the job, preferably one that comes in a slimline model

Can anyone suggest some?
