I have a Windows 7 PC with 12 Gb of memory. It's only 25% utiliized when Muvizu runs out of memory. Then, can't export the moview. A couple times couldn't save. Quiting and then opening again seems to solve the problem temporarily. Garbage collection or memory leak?

Hi braveheartbill,
First of all, thanks for taking the time to download & play with Muvizu. The memory issues you're experiencing has to do with the fact that Muvizu is a 32-bit application. 32-bit applications can only access 4GB memory at maximum, with only 2GB available to us (the rest is reserved for the OS and graphics card, etc). The problem could be that your scenes are too complicated and heavy resulting in the need for more memory. We would recommend you simplify your scenes as a way around this. Included in the latest version of Muvizu is a simple video joiner that allows you to cobble together separate scenes and clips into 1 video. By simplifying scenes and utilising the video joiner, you could create the video you want without the problems mentioned above.

As we further develop and update the application, we continute to optimise the memory usage. Furthermore, we are considering updating to a 64-bit build in the future, but don't hold your breath because we've got so much other stuff to fix and build.

I have the same issue. I simply select one of the existing scenes and can't add any characters because product reports there is no space (I guess this means memory). This is a huge limiting factor... basically a show stopper. My machine only has 2GB (WinXP), so can get max another 1 GB in it - not enough for this product.

The scene window reports only 4% in use... so why can't I add another character to the scene?

I logged in here to post this and magically I can now add a bunch of new characters to the scene which moment ago reported "no room", whatever that means.

Hi Lionelb8,

Could you please give me a screenshot or tell me the exact message that comes up when you try to load one of the pre-made sets? Just in case it's a different problem that can be fixed.

Sorry you are having trouble,
-Jim

Hi lionelb8

This sounds like its actually meaning space in ure scene.....you need to move your camera (view) so it has enough space on screen to make whatever char or object you want.

to test what i mean simply move your view way up in the air and then create what u want and im sure it will work.
