Hi Gang,

Glad to be part of this group of creative folks!!

I'm trying to have my guy accidentally knock over a floor lamp, which will in turn knock over a few boxes or other items, but I am having a tough time figuring it out.
I did do this at one point, but that was when I was playing around and I didn't save what I did.
Here's what I set up....

object Physics.......nothing checked (not floats on air and not keep upright)
at this stage I can make the lamp tip over using the mouse and right click
Then I go to Prepare Object Movement, set gravity to anything (I have tried all areas) then start to record.....
I can move the object and get it to lean, but it only floats and will not fall.
Once I finish if I go to edit on the object, I can see that Floats In Air is checked and I cannot uncheck it until I delete the movement recording on the timeline...

I just want the lamp (or whatever object) to be knocked over and fall naturally..
PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Thanks in advance!!

The physics in Muvizu don't apply to an object that's being animated, only if its moved in real time. You have to fake the effect of physics instead, which is so hard to do with Muvizu that most of us don't even try! I would say, however, that to get your stuff to fall more convincingly, you should keep in mind that the responsiveness (DPI) of your mouse plays a big part, as does where you place the pivot point (that mad looking pink star thing that appears when in Direct Movement mode). I've never found the Gravity setting to be helpful particularly, and it's all trial and error really. You said it yourself - you had it, but didn't save it, so now you've got to recreate what you did the first time. Good luck

Having spent hours just trying to make some books fall from a shelf in a realistic manner, I'd say "Give up now, and run away screaming!". Physics in Muvizu is worse than useless.

OK Thanks Guys,

I will play around a bit more....maybe try different camera angles to get the same effect!

Happy New Year to everyone!!!!!!!
