New character? rickedirol wrote:
I am needing Jesus and his disciples characters, do they exist? Does anyone know where I can get some made?

Hi Rickedirol,

You could make them using the standard Muvizu characters with long hair and a beard, assuming that's what you're after.

If you wanted baby Jesus then I don't know....

Copying Animation I just asked if it were possible to copy a character and their animations, or simple their animations, and was told that though it was frequently asked, the answer is no you can't.

My suggestion is to enable a way to copy animations (or characters with animations) so that instead to having to re-do each dancing character, you only have to do one and then copy it umpteen times.

I know there are problems such as how to do the actual copy on the screen (include a "With or Without Animations" option?) but some of us would be very, very happy for it...

Repeated characters Thanks Toonarama.

I might pop in a request on the enhancement site...

Repeated characters This is probably not a new question, in which case I do apologise, but I have never figured out how to copy a character complete with movements. This would mean that if I had a 'dance sequence', I could copy the character umpteen times and have a whole dancing group.

If it is feasible (this is Muvizu - it's GOT to be!) then can I just copy actions? So, take one character with actions and copy just the actions to another character?

Always appreciated! worship

New character? Wasn't the bald one on the left the one from the first film?

Not healthy, I shouldn't know this kind of thing...

It depends what kind of mood they're in.
Look, mate, you've got me into it now!!!shake head
Could we have a mega-doodle alien then?
Or - PLEEEEEEASE - a quadruped? The head is irrelevant as you can change them but think of the possibilities. Yes indeed, the tap-dancing elephant lives on...

New character? I was going to ask for a more modifyably (?) face. I love the brows but you are stuck with the one nose and one set of ears, or have I just not looked hard enough?

Amazing characters though.

How about an evil lady just to balance the odds - a Queen Zelda.

Teleportation, or somesuch Hi Phil7newbie,

You've got me absolutely intrigued! Please could you do a tiny demo video and send it - I'd be 120% grateful!

Teleportation, or somesuch Can you make a character appear or disappear from a set?

Alternatively can a character be brought on to the set from off-side as an appearing act then made to vanish in the same way?

Ok, thanks. It was just to make sure it wasn't DX9 running through DX11 but its obviously not if you've no option for this. We had a known issue with DX11 crashing on exit of the application but that's not the problem your having.

Is this happening consistently? Does it only happen with some set files?

I don't get much chance to fiddle with Muvizu except at the weekends. I'm working on a manic set with 3 'gauchos', 2 playing guitars and one mouthing the drumbeat. The is the only one it seems to happen with so far. Yesterday I popped in a new character.

It's only when I quit Muvizu that it blows out, so I seem to be able to save it at least - I think!

Might be, could you just check the File > Options dialog and let me know if you have an option to switch on Direct X 11?

I was just fiddling about and it blew out a second time. Hmmm.

In the File > Options sections there is nothing about Direct X 11.

Could it be installed or is it the graphics board?

If you go to the about screen (the ? icon on the top right hand corner of Muvizu) it'll tell you which direct x you are using. Let us know here or you can go into the system info (click the button) and then click the copy button and email everything to use

I've had a nose and it seems I'm on DirectX 9, so not the latest version.

Any use?

Programmable Is it possible, or would it ever be possible, to actually program the Muvizu characters?

There must be a way to program the movements, otherwise you could never have the original set of movements. I didn't know if they could truly be 'programmed' so that you really could go the whole hog!

Or would it be so very, very complex that it just isn't worth it? And yes, and I am perfectly prepared to accept that as an answer. I've used Assembler... Twitchy

Incidentally, I took the purple pill. I think Morbius was having one of those days...

Error on exit I'm running Muvizu on Windows 7, so the 64 bit version I assume. On exiting I had a screen full of error messages, though it did exit on hitting the 'X'.

Paint colours In fact invisible props have been very useful for 'floating' objects!

I was thinking of people. If you colour any of them as invisible (alpha) then their true colours shine through, which is not what I wanted.
