Back in 2017 The latest update


The Passion Competition submission period for 2017 will be from July 15th until October 28th. Theme to be announce around July 1st.
I am starting to contact the sponsors we currently have and also a couple former sponsors to see if they will sign on again.
There will be a video category but I am not sure if I will go forward with the script writing category or not. It doesn't seem like there is much interest in keeping the writing category going.
I will have to give this much thought.

Passion Competition presents Greetings Muvizu'ers.

The Passion Competition will be back this year but while we are waiting for it to begin there will be a mini contest separate from the main contest. Full details will be released next weekend.

This will have a cash prize of a minimum of $100 USD. Payment will be either a Paypal transfer or a gift card (winners choice).

Back in 2017 Over the weekend I renewed the domains for the Passion Competition for another year and in January will be renewing the hosting.

The contest will be back in 2017 with some minor changes. One change will be in the writing category. This time we will go with scripts. Nothing firm yet but I will be working on what kind and what will be expected in the next few months. I will probably ask for input to help me finalize the specifics from the community. There will also be changes on what can be submitted but those changes are still being worked on.

The official planning won't start until early February and I will keep everyone updated as we go.

Passion Competition to go on hiatus Thanks all for the kind words.
Some things are inevitable but this came early. We knew (and so did she) that she only had a few years left but the death was sudden and took us all by surprise. I think that is why it has been so hard. The mileage distance doesn't help either. I am just thankful I have friends back there who are helping myself and my sister out taking care of the house and other things for us until I can get there.
As for the competition, it should return and hopefully be better than ever.

Passion Competition to go on hiatus Due to a recent personal event, the death of my mother, the Passion Competition will be on hiatus for 2016. I am relocating from Wisconsin back to Arizona in July to take over her estate and handle all legal proceedings. This will take too much of my time and will not let me properly administer this contest.
We will leave the crowdfunding in place for our return in 2017. I will continue to give updates on our progress towards a return as it happens.

Crowdfunding campaign Running a successful competition and drawing in more participation takes funding. I have some funds available to offer as prizes for the Passion Competition but to do what I want to (prizes of $250 or even $500) I need help. I started a crowdfunding campaign to achieve this. Any amount helps.
All funds raised will go strictly to the competition and not for personal use. I can guarantee you this.

Teaser contest We currently have a teaser video for the competition but would like to add 1 or 2 more to help advertise.
The task at hand will be to make a 30-60 second teaser. Winner(s) will get $50.

And the 2015 Passion Competition winners are: After viewing and scoring every video submitted the judges have completed their work and have determined that it was a very hard decision but here are your 2015 Passion Competition winners:

The judges and staff of the Passion Competition wish to thank everyone who entered to make this year's competition as good as it was. The competition this year was very close. The difference between 1st and 2nd place was only 0.0175 points out of a possible 15. Between 3rd and 4th was only 0.0475 out of 15 possible points. This made it the closest decision in the 9 years of the event. The quality of the videos submitted made it a very difficult decision all around.

If anyone who submitted a video would like feedback on their entry please email me and I will compile a set of notes from the judges comments on the scoring forms for you.

Once again, thank you to all who entered and thank you to those who helped judge and make this competition what it is today.

Muvizu does have a place but I am not sure if a national tv commercial is the right place. Too many people won't accept what we do unless it is regular cartoon, CGI or anime. Shame really.

2015 Passion Competition update 2 weeks left to submit a video.

Would love to see more from the Muvizu community.

Just remember, you must register in order to enter. It is free and easy but can take as long as 24 hours to get approved (I don't have access to approve registration while at work).

2015 Passion Competition update We have decided to extend the submission deadline until Oct. 17th in the hopes of generating more entries.
