Feb 2016 release feedback/bugs Also, 360 rendering is currently CPU based which is why it takes so long.

Sheep? http://www.muvizu.com/forum/topic548-characters.aspx?p=f#post2610 "05/11/2010 15:04:23 "

If we keep asking eventually they'll add it.

Feb 2016 release feedback/bugs 3. Apparently it's a technical problem: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd797815(v=vs.85).aspx
Ctrl+f for windows 7 and you'll find the relevant bit.

Import greenscreen avi question Muvizu is limited in term of characters to the types shown in the create-->character window. These are quite cartoonish if you want to turn them in 3D characters.
You should be able to use transparent avi on a backdrop in Muvizu, but you will probably prefer to just keep this for the video editor (Muvizu's a bit fussy with codecs so you might have a bit of trial and error here). So you'd make your scene in Muvizu of where you'd like the kids to be, export this from Muvizu, and then put the green screened kids on top of this layer in a video editor. This would be a 2D option rather than the virtual 3D that iclone seems to use.

I'll happily go into more detail if needed,

The Conspirators Ha!
This is excellent! I'd love to see more.

360 degree video test Thanks for the info!

360 degree video test I re-used one of my old videos in 360 degrees:

You can see that Muvizu effectively uses 4 cameras and stitches them together.

You need to watch it on youtube.com to get the panoramic bit to work.

Muvizu is a joy That does look very good Braj! I can see the compression you're talking about, and you need to whack up the bitrate to 100%. (This still has some compression, but there's less of it).

Edit: are you using linear keyframes? Have you tried automatic keyframes because the transitions between movements seem a little clunky there. I'm only nitpicking now though

Output as PNG? The update message will only install in the default Muvizu play directory. To choose the directory you have to install fresh from here: http://www.muvizu.com/Get-Muvizu

Best settings for DVD/Cinematic quality? I think PAL is the entire video format in terms of both colour and framerate; but Muvizu uses the PAL 25fps for all outputs as far as I know. 4k 50fps will be the best, especially since the fps is scaled correctly, and should work with the newly released 4k output option from Muvizu. However, DVD is an old and arguably obsolete format that doesn't even support 1080p. You'll probably want to keep the film on a flash drive than burn it to a disc since that process will lose a massive amount of quality. If you're really interested in getting it on a disc, you might want to look into blu-ray burners, but these are quite expensive.

Edit: as an extension of the first bit: The US uses 30 and 60fps but since Muvizu was made in the UK, it uses the UK 25fps.

Mandy Character and a Mic theotherguy wrote:
I've just discovered something interesting, I too been trying to get the Mandy character to sing into a mic. I took the available 'pipette' and coloured the bulb and dropper black, adjusted the rotation and scale and have a perfectly okay mic.

This is classic Muvizu workaround spirit! None of this newfangled importing objects nonsense.

What are the resolution options for the 360 videos?

The same as normal size/shape video. That's why they're so pixelated because they're using the same number of pixels for a much wider area.

Something is wrong with your process, the video isn't 360, just fisheyed. The MZ demo lets you look around from the center where the camera is located.

Try it on the youtube site; the embedded video in the forum is using the old flash version of youtube.

Nope, it doesn't say 4K just 3840×2160.

Mine only goes to 1080

What video card do you have? That may be the thing, CUDA enabled start about at my GTX750. If the video card doesn't support it, maybe Muvizu blocks the option.

That sounds likely. I have the Radeon HD7770

Feb 2016 release feedback/bugs What graphics card do you have? If it's significantly better than mine I might want to stay away from 4k.

Switching my project to 4k made it crawl, and after switching back it was still crawling. I rendered just a second of video @ 575MB! I can say surely my gear can't handle this feature well.

You can actually render in 4k?!
I'll have to try this out when my 360 test finishes! (I imagine my GPU will have a fit)

Also, they're right about the increased render times in 360 degrees. It's taking about half an hour to render a 10 second clip.
