Coming Soon... haha there is no inside to this i think the supermarket is in the gallery already in ase format, but I dont know if this set is going to fit in the gallery ^^ the normal maps help so much though i can now make roads with snow tracks on them and stuff its way cool with the unreal engine it really is neat

Muvizu Play 1.2 Feedback (also Play+) okay i am back haha (muvizu's worste nightmare ^^)

this is about memory usage i am finally getting around to building a set not for my sort of kinda not so blockbuster series but for an idea that I think i can churn out in a week or two if i slave away at it every night..

anyhow

so yes this is another dreaded comparison from the insane monster set builder from hell .. when I build sets using high detail fbx stuff i can build sets that are cough close to 4 gig (yes i kid you not i build 4 gig sets no joke and i use them too and they actually run haha.. so anyhow...)

i am about done placing my buildings and about to set upon the task of filling in the details and according to this info there is no way i can complete this set which will be like a lightweight into comparison to my 4 gig sets. So.. yes i am doing it again bringing muvizu to its knees for the sake of overkill but hey its fun and if you have the right pc it works just fine, but it appears that muvizu is throttling my ram in such a way that its not going to let me finish the set.. them 'other softwares' have no limits on how much of your pc's resources you can use so this allows for you to well build as big as you can or until your pc melts into goo whichever comes first

so .. what i am trying to say is .. can you let me use my pc's ram i am assuming this is not graphic card ram its system ram.. either way this set is a duplicate set of assets used recently and its like not going to be nearly as large as the set it came from .. so uh.. goes back to building lol

also the lag that occurs when i open my windows with textures is like i can go have coffee and return. I um yes so .. well anyhow back to my sets..

Muvizu Play 1.2 Feedback (also Play+) lol yes please can we have a shovel

and fazz they are in the christmas set I made last year but as i type this i seem to remember your pc couldn't handle the 2 million blinking flashing lights soo i wil post them as a 3d asset tonight i think i have the original ASE file still just was playing with the opacity mask since the contest jump started my video creativity block ...

Muvizu Play 1.2 Feedback (also Play+) hi i dont know if this is a bug or not...

but the fbx format in muvizu does not pick up alpha channels or opacity masks and to my knowledge it probably should i dont recall unreal engine not having trees Big Grin Anyhow there should be an opacity mask showing in that list of textures and its not there but if you look at the diffuse texture you can see its transparent in the right areas so the mask should work. Anyhow I haven't loaded it into a udk editor yet but its like well it should work :P

errm her is the mask etc set up etc blah blah blah and you can see its like working in this dreaded software that shall not be named i run it through the udk exporter and the mask does not import into muvizu but shouldn't it? lol

goes to load up udk editor to answer my own question..
okay so i dont think this is a bug i just checked anyhow maybe when staff comes by they can confirm

sticks to ase trees

*cough* while i am here i will then add "well since the udk environment has its own built in vegetation maker and since opacity mask doesnt work can we get a tree planting tool? "

Joe is 100% right right. I only use the direct mode to get the things on the timeline with the shortest length possible. I can then accurately adjust them on the timeline to get what I want. Cutting out direct mode completely would speed things up.

NO NO nonny no! Don't you dare cut out the direct mode completely! The whole real time puppetry style approach is what makes Muvizu what it is!
By all means ADD a drag and drop feature but it would make no sense to replace what is there.
Additional features are better than "instead of"
it's all about having options.

no they need to leave that in that makes muvizu unique I think. I dont know if we need a drag from prepare possibly a menu of animations or something but honestly the only thing we need is to be able to customize the recorded actions more. (shorten them/ lengthen them to make em go faster and slower) and maybe a way to cut them at a break point to create a new action from them and the ability to copy and paste actions and duplicate them once in the timeline after recorded. Add that first worry about dragging directly from a library another time we have access to all the actions its just "different" different is not bad its just different

this coming from a total blender and iclone fanboi (my glasses are not rosecoloured however) but i am also a muvizu fanboi and its not good to remove what is unique to make the software into something else

That's a nice little character Urbanlamb - how about making cartoon characters for the unmentionable I%$£"!

yes this thought has crossed my mind .....

I've been trying something new! we dont need it rigged and *cough* to be honest anyone with the ability to rig those characters or even make attachements has the ability to reproduce a muvizu character from start to finish anyhow lol.

here is an example of my playing around making a new character rigging and all to match the muvizu look I went overboard and it had started out as a simple torso for a long shot but i like to make characters and rig them so I started to rig this one so really their only fear is those who dont know and so the mesh is safe in factreallussion has posted their g2 characters mesh only to sketchup and these character models are valid as a template to this day

so really if anyone wanted to they could create a reasonable facsimile of a little muvizu dude anyhow so its a copyright issue its true but over time I think I have created mesh doubles (sort of) of most of their characters to make into bodies etc so far I have duplicated beefy, the fat man and the regular man and recently I made a double of the sinister look all for long shots. Unfortunately I doubt they are proportioned properly and well in this case I think muvizu needs to release the official versions its just they need to think about it and its a legal issue soo this is likely why they are silent they will be silent until they make up their mind Big Grin

also since the release of play+ I have been so busy farting with the attachment system and building things 'just cause' that I have gotten totally sidetracked and am now burried in "what ifs" with regards to muvizu features in the future and each what if is causing me to play around some more one day maybe when I am all what iffed" out I will use play + for its actual use and like make a new video but this is more fun to me so back to my playing around :P

edited for so many typos due to my numb hands that it was not making sense

I think I was probably the ripple and poured cold water on your idea assuming that Muvizu HQ would not be willing to make their assets publicly available and I don't think anyone from MHQ replied.

BUT having seen the potential of what you have created you have certainly convinced me of the merits and hopefully the powere that be may be forced to at least answer your query!

Most similar software types like Daz/Iclone owe their survival to external developers producing and selling content and they do this by providing ways of being able to modify existing meshes and objects.

Muvizu is gradually opening up and it looks like the Pro version will take that a step further but I agree with you that it would be a HUGE step forward were at least some of the assets to be made available.

By the way what I like best about the Scrooge animation is that it almost looks like a stop-motion.

Thanks

yes i have asked two or three times now to make mesh models of their characters available but I think they are probably unsure what to say right now. They are probably worried about their characters ending up all over the place but reallussion and others eventually do decide to issue white papers and character template packages to paying customers so I think eventually they will reach a similar conclusion. The attachement system is quite versatile and you can build some interesting stuff it would remove the trial and error bit into asset creation for them if we could just import them into our modelling package and build upon them.

However i remember the times when reallussion was still struggling with this and just recently as in the last year did they open up their character white sheets to daz customers for them to use as well.

It needs to happen 3d has left the walled garden concept behind long ago and so muvizu is slowlyl moving towards this as well but its a legal nightmare and now with the release of attachments they have a whole new host of problems and reqeusts that they may ormay not have anticipated. I dont care about the inanimate objects but the character meshes are super important

5th Grade tv I'm an old fart but maybe some sort of interview show of some historical figures make a guy who does interviews and have him interview things like presidents or kings or queens or maybe famous scientists or artists

This would be edumacational too but its a lot of work you would need to research about the famous person and think up questions you would ask him if you were to meet him as a newsperson and then write answers that he would say

things that you might find cool maybe
einstein
alexander graham bell
queen elizabeth the 1st (very famous queen she was)
leonadro davinchi

that is as far as I will go with this i am old and stodgy and believe that people learn by doing the work themselves

also in future can you please just post the question once?
