Hi everyone.

When I move(walk) my character, then let go of the mouse button, he doesn't stop. He just keeps turning in circles. Why is this and how can I adjust this?

Thanks!

This is something I noticed just yesterday...and couldn't work out how to stop it. Any ideas anyone?

An example vid to show the problem please. I can't remember experiencing this one from how you describe it.
Cheers

A few cuss words and a couple of good whacks on the keyboard (or mouse) may do the trick!

Had the same thing happen in a video. I just re-did the Character Movement and the fluke did not re-appear.

Snap Dylly, I can't duplicate it either. I had the same problem yesterday using 0.19b patched.
I read the thread and attempted to produce a video demo but I can't get it to happen now. Have tried all possible walk options including changing them mid walk, in the same environment that produced the bug yesterday.

If it happens again I will definitely make a video to show the problem.

Sorry not to be more help but at least we know it does happen.

Here is an example I uploaded to youtube. Hope this works. Character is supposed to stop on the "object" and hopefully face forward. But when letting go of the mouse, he steps forward a few, then circles.

Hi Steven, can you send the set file with this happening to bugs@muvizu.com?

Thank you. I've sent you an email with the SET file.

Hi

One question...

Did this circling effect appear after you drew a tight and winding path in front of the character? If so I think our own internal team spotted that a while ago. I'll check to see if the bug's been fixed in-house.

Yes it did for me. Not too tight but I was testing character movements/actions and had quite a long path that looped on itself several times with the odd small loop. Hope this helps.

For me the circles initially started following a straight double click and walk to a point. The circling seemed to get worse when I attempted to delete and then re-record the action. It continued even when I deleted the character instance and replaced it with identical character.

After closing Muvizu and reopening it the problem seems to have stopped and I can't recreate it.

For me, I did the arc "drag" walk to a point, then let go of the mouse. The character is set to "walk only" as well.

I think that I fixed this internally a few weeks ago so it shouldn't happen in the next release.

One 100% reproduction was to draw a path, wait for the character to catch up with the locomotion guide without releasing the mouse button then draw another path and release the mouse... the bug's been closed since 23rd Febuary so it's hopeful that there are no other ways to make it happen.
