Hey everyone,Im working on a the new talking version of my Tropical Bird's using key frame, and figured I would have them sing to tests them out, instead of using an editor to put the video together, I used Bandicam to record from the set so you can see how the key frames was layed out for the lead singer which is the cockatoo, each key frame is placed with cue points which you can see in the timeline, the other cue points represent the key frame for the other birds, here is the video
the song was one of my favorites when I was younger, Disney used it in Lion King so I guess credit goes to them.

The new version will be available in the store by next week,I will leave everything intact except for the song, but you can still study the timeline to see how everything is layed out, this will make a great learning tool for the key frame, also when it's available I will give a free copy to those who purchased the old set,I will add details when it's uploaded.

Thanks Pat, everyone kept messaging me if my birds talk,so figured I should update them with key frame, but I'm afraid they'll be disappointed when they learn it's the only option they have for these kind of characters.

Aaw..come on Ziggy,key framing is really fun,besides
How is anyone going to benefit from muvizu if they don't learn to use its features, everyone wants those special characters but don't want to key frame,we have it easy with muvizu, and a advantage over all of those professional animators that uses bones, all we have to do is slap a few objects together and bam...! Ready to animate, yea it maybe a bit of work but you don't have to finish in one day,so give it a try buddy it's fun!

You have a strange definition of fun Big Grin I use keyframing, just not like that... Mind you, I've never had the need (yet!).

You make a good point, Clayster... most animation packages are TOTALLY keyframe oriented. The fact that we can get away with keyframing only the occasional action that isn't pre-programmed is a good thing, not a bad thing.

When you consider the fact that Muvizu lets you import objects freely and gives us the ability to both keyframe AND/OR direct the objects we import... that's a pretty significant chunk of animating power!

As a side note: for animating mouths/beaks etc you might want to look at DIRECTING instead of keyframing. They've already made directing capable of setting a hinge axis (they use it for doors) wherever you want it, which makes the motion a lot easier to control. Keyframing actions that would normally have a fixed hinge is harder than using the hinge.

When I order the singing birds, I will understand how you used key framing with that set? I mean will I be able to see the key framing?
If we get the set and then want to used it for something other than a song, but having the birds talk would it be best to make a copy of the set before we attempt anything new? I would hate to mess up all of your work by a slip of the mouse.

What is the best way to reuse the set as far as not messing what you have created?

The video was just a test to see how well they would work with key frame, in the set I will leave the key frames there but the song won't be because of copyrights, so you will be able to look at and study the key frame, the best way to reuse them would be to save each bird in your favorite so you can reload them in a new scene and start fresh, that way you won't change the original,I will make a short manual to explain how to key frame, anyways Rocque I think you already bought the first set, so you should qualify to get this one free when it's out, I all ways like to give free updates to thought who bought the first set.
