Hello guys,

for several days I'm trying to get my horse walking in Muvizu. The result is impressive as long as I use a solid color as texture. As long as i use a fixed texture on my horse, it looks normal.
From this texture, I made three different transparent images, one image for each pose. These images I used to make a transparent AVI. When I use this AVI on my horse, the textures arent alinged any more.

I have tried everything, scaling the UV-wrappings, turning the UV-wrappings, scaling, turning the desins, ...

Second problem is that the colors went faded. Is this a problem because we use the transparancy in the AVI movie. ( I used two different programs to made the AVI, al with the same result)

BTW: the horse model is not mine. I downloaded it from tf3dm.com, the designer is called 3dregenerator.

Ammostro,

first of all.. GREAT LOOKING HORSE! The solid color version of the horse walking looks great! I'm very impressed, and kind of upset that you beat me by making a quadruped first!

I'm interested to hear that your problem starts when you use a different texture. I have had this same problem, and like you , I tried everything to no avail. I don't know why one project works while another identical project fails. Eventually one of us will figure out what variable we're missing and then we'll be able to crank these things out without any problems... but for now I fear there is still an unknown variable.

The good news is that your solid color version works... and it looks awesome too!

I'm happy to have a newcomer to the forum who likes to explore and try new ideas. Please don't give up trying! Whoever eventually solves this problem should report back to the group so we all know the answer.

By the way, I've noticed that even when the AVI doesn't line up, the individual images can be applied as textures, and they DO line up. So the problem lies with the AVI, not with the images from which it is made.
You could swap the images via keyframing, but that's a lot of work

Thx.

I gonna put this project in the refrigerator for a few days

I used the same technique as the flying pigeon. With the bones technique in blender it is easy to set the legs in the right position. Exporting them as OBJ and importing it in a new project where you bring all objects together.

When nobody has an answer for this issue, I think I gonna try to figure it out with a texturemap with different colors, to see how he place the AVI on the object. I think thats the only solution.

Edit: I am testing the textures with some colors, also painting the texture in blender.

The AVI file is made in 1024 x 1024, the same as the texture file. The strange thing is, that if I resize the output AVI to 512 x 512 or even 256 x 256 and put this AVI on the object, nothing change on the texturing of my horse. Strange!!

What I did, was make all video sequence using an UV map texture for each pose and flip vertically all the sequence before rendering.
It always worked in after effects.

It's true. Fading is due to 32 bit AVI video with alfa channel and Muvizu is not dealing well with that.
I discovered that when we have transparency enable, the only working videos are AVI uncompressed like I showed in my latest tutorial. If transparency is unable in Muvizu config files, compressed video formats like MSmpeg 4 v2 still work on backdrops and other objects with animated textures.

Thx Rodrisilva

The vertical flipping thing works fine. I had did this before, with no result. But now it works fine.

Only thing now is the faded problem.

I asked permission at 3dregenerator for using his horse on the Muvizu community. When he gives permission, I put the set in the store.

How it comes that I can't put a movie created with muvizu on a backdrop in muvizu?

The way to show movies on backdrops is the one presented in this tutorial:

If the movie is too long, file will be huge and Muvizu unable to use it for sure.

I suspect that disabling transparency in muvizu ini files turns back the possiblity to use compressed formats like Msmpeg4 V2. It works for me, might work for you.
