I used CamStudio which is a free alternative, although it doesn't have the nice zoom feature which comes with Camtasia
Nice with a list of screen recorders available free.

Excellent link, and CamStudio works really well - thanks!

OK, now I can say it's a fantastic tutorial because I've seen it. Great job!

Great Tut - these should be in the Tutorials section and not just in the forum!

In fact - they are! Once in the Tutorials section, click the "Your Hints & Tips" tab and voila!

Great tutorial
Just need someone to make a cloud flying scene from Monkey Magic now!

Ohmighod! A live-action version of the animated "Alakazam the great" (American title)? That was the first movie I ever saw! Deliciously corny!

Another tutorial!

There is a way to create a set with parallel walls using a floor plan. This video shows you how..

Hope it helps someone!

Fantastic work again, Mr Dreeko. But why do you start talking to yourself at about 6 mins into the video? Is the stress getting to you?

We should be able to move between orthographic and perspective mode and there should also be a way to go from top, front, side e.t.c If there is already can some please tell me how

Fraid not. Orthographic views are not available. I thought they would be a good thing to have also but think about the Walls. If you move a camera directly above a wall it disappears from sight because they have no depth. So they would be invisible in a traditional plan view.

Good tutorial from the Big D (as usual!) although it made me wonder - could we have the ability to use the grid on the floor to align/snap objects? It's not doing anything else at the moment...

Thanks for that! It'll save me hours of wall placing with dismal results!

Just a little test to show the invisible predator style effect on a Muvizu character using sony vegas.

I created a scene with the character included on a war style set, then I changed the set to green to enable green screenimg and finally rendered out the clip for a third time with the character deleted.

Once I had all my clips ready I followed this tutorial

Looks quite good I think, but I should have masked out the Muvizu logo to eliminate it from the effect. Ho hum

Enjoy

Cheers

Very cool! I didn't even know that was in there! Come to think of it, I don't know much of anything about Vegas. As powerful as it is, I really use it as a super simple editor.

Thanks for posting this, I'm going to have to try it out!
