Moviestorm - Let your ideas run freely No MS animations are handmade as well. I don't have any objections to MoCap though. Many animations used in Second Life machinima were originally sourced in that way.

Where are the error log files? I had one character on screen (no set or added lighting) , I was modifying, clicked on a cuff and poof, whole system froze, had to do restart using pc off button.
Anyway of telling what happened so can avoid in future?
The log files I found were very minimal.

Moviestorm - Let your ideas run freely
I found the moviestorm forum quite dull and boring, and the dev guys just don't seem to listen likeThey do in muvizu.


I'm sure the MS developers listen, in fact I know they do!

I think the general Moviestorm fourm population is older, but this doesn't necessarily reflect the age profile of those using the product.

One of the best things about Muvizu (apart from the fabulous artwork) is that it provides a free entry point into the world of machinima. Even a small cost is a huge barrier to someone too young to own a credit card.

I think it is fantastic how the forums are taking off here and I'm enjoying the films creators are making.

I hope we will have some amazing Muvizu entries in next year's Machinima Expo!

Machinexpo 2010 Trailer Guidelines

Concept

use a machinima engine to remake a favourite film or TV moment
for dialogue substitute the word ‘expo’ at vital moment (s)
film need be no more than 30s long, but can be longer
add expo logo at the end (see below)
upload to youtube, add tag #mexpotrailer

eg Citizen Kane..sub expo for Rosebud, When Harry met Sally she shouts ‘expo expo expo’ in cafe scene, in Star Trek, Spock could say ‘It’s expo Jim, but not as we know it’, ET would say ‘ET phone expo’.
Subtitles are fine.
Films with no dialogue can use the word ‘expo’ replacing background text, eg in street signs or posters.
If your engine / editor makes it difficult to add logo just use text
Yes, do use your own language, we reach more people that way!
Remember, if you use music, to choose tracks which youtube won’t object to. See Jamendo for some great creative commons music, or have fun making your own.
Use the guidelines as inspiration only , if you get stuck just go with the flow and see what happens!
