hearts a-flying In Jar Heads I used the heart effect that came with muvizu, just right click on your character, select edit, then in the appearance tab select effects then select the head tab, there is a heart effect for your characters.

A test trailer for a new spoof idea. PatMarrNC wrote:
Clayster, that looks awesome! I think you are onto something here.. I was thinking myself that the Ghost Busters theme would be ripe for spoofing, but you beat me to it! (You'll do a better job on the special effects anyway!)

How did you create the ghost? it didn't look like anything from Muvizu, but it was animated...

Man, you keep adding to the list of tutorials you need to make!

(Great job! Keep 'em coming!)

the ghost was something me and my friends created a long time ago, it was a school project they was working on and I gave them a hand with it, the proton stream I did with after effects.

A test trailer for a new spoof idea. well my friends I been doing a lot of things here lately and not getting the other thing done, sorry cant help it but I'm and Artist and my mind wanders, yesterday I was setting watching one of my favorite movies and then seen a trailer of a remake on youtube, so i been thinking of doing spoofs, and I started messing around with After effects to create effects to start with, well the effects turned out the way I wanted them, then I started to create attachments for some new muvizu characters, so far all is well..so i made this short test trailer just to see what kind of feed back I will get before I really start making these things, so here is the test trailer, yaw let me know what yaw thing, any feed back is helpful.

SKWERLEFEST! Episode #: The Sam BushyTail Band! Wow PatMarrNC, that was Great stuff, you really got those Skwerls down good, love how your getting it together with the attachments, your animals look awsome, but most of all I find that you writing your own song for your muvizu video was the most impressive, i really loved the lyrics, maybe I could use you to help me make a good funny song for one of my spoofs one day, anways my friend, keep up the great work, i give it 99 thumbs up!!

Finger Pistols Are dangerous 2 (Quick Draw) PatMarrNC wrote:
This is a good example of how companies like Muvizu tend to come up with changes to the program that are better than what the users were asking for. For example, I'd imagine that for years people have been asking for more predefined character actions.

If they went that route, time spent developing a new action would yield exactly that: one new action. It would be impossible to implement every new action that users could request.

But now, the time spent developing keyframes has basically given us a way to create ANY ACTION WE CAN IMAGINE! Even a pooping horse! Who could possibly ask for more than that? ;-)

Man, we need a contest to see who can come up with the most awesome keyframed animation... although, I think it's going to be tough to beat Clayster's submission!

i agree with what PatMarrNC just said, but I'm sure that they will develop a new action some day, but with key frame why wait around, I'm not, right now with the development of my next Spoof, and another new surprise video I'm working on, I'm using models to reform the bodies of the characters to create my own actions, the animated poop is just one of many of cool and funny animations that I'm coming up with...lol can't stop laughing just thinking about it, also if they did do a contest, I'm game!

Clayster, that was awesome! I loved the keyframe animation in the horse and the crowing rooster! It's a really good match with the MUVIZU look due to the way you modelled the characters!

How did you do the circling eagle? Same way?

On a different note, I liked the miscellaneous little touches you added throughout:

1) Recurring theme of the sleeping snoring dude

2) the way you set the viewer's anticipation with the squirrel getting the nut references, then threw us a curve right at the end with a literal interpretation

3) I liked the way you used the horse as an ambient character, not really doing anything except making the scene look more "westerny"

4) naturally, a little unexpected horse poop is usually good for a smile or two

I'm very impressed... since the keyframe pack was introduced, I don't remember seeing anybody else use it to create claymation style movement in static characters! You've broken new ground here, and set the stage for a lot more of the same, now that we all see what can be done with keyframes!

Thanks PatMarrNc, yea key framing is really simple but time consuming, but taking the time to make it work in your cartoons is worth it, Im hoping by doing this video would make everyone use the key fame it really dose complete a video, just give it a try, the eagle was done in key frame all in the same scene, using key frame to pan the camera down to the two characters standing for a dule, also using key frame to pan the camera at the start, there is a lot of use with this feature, and Im planing to show more with my next Star Wars Spoof.

Set keyframes before animating them PatMarrNC wrote:
theotherguy wrote:
Are you using new content you made yourself? I'm always wanting my characters to move a certain way, i.e. slowly turn around and point, would it help with that?

the standard Muvizu character movements can't be keyframed. Just about everything else can, however.

I think all of the current dialogs here (in which people are animating with keyframes ) involve static characters that they've created or downloaded from the web, broken into animatable pieces, then painstakingly keyframed the individual pieces to get the animation they want.

Although you can't keyframe the Muvizu characters outright, what you CAN do is model your own arm with a pointing finger at the end, and keyframe it. If you use closeups of the arm or position the character so its own arm is hidden, you can make some convincing moves.

That's basically how Clayster made his Luke Skywalker raise binoculars to his face. That move isn't supported by Muvizu's standard movements, so he framed the scene so that Lukes arms weren't shown, and keyframed a free floating set of binoculars (with attached modelled hand) and used keyframes to move into position. Pretty slick!

You could use something along those lines for your pointing
(But... isn't pointing one of the standard moves built into the characters?)

Yep thats how I did it, keyframe is a really great add on, but sometimes considering how many parts you use for your models could be time consuming to animate, but I have work around for that to, but still its taking me a long time to do the at at animation on my next star wars spoof, so I have to take breaks to work on other videos, I will show off my animation work around in my upcoming finger pistols are dangerous video so yaw can see how Im animating the animals

EXPERIMENTATION STATION! of course I'm still working on the problem of the models coming out looking like it was made up by a mass of squares..lol!

EXPERIMENTATION STATION! I did a work around that works for me, and I was able to animate every part of my models, here's a picture of a horse that I animated in muvizu, it's part of a scene of my next video Finger Pistol Are dangerous part 2, he lifts his head up chewing on grass and looking at the main character funny, of course there or other models that I animated in the video as well, but this should give you an idea how I'm doing it.

Clayster, I think it's cool that you've figured out a way to animate your models in the Muvizu environment using keyframes... if you ever have time to describe what you're doing I'd love to hear the details

Ok if I made a Tutorial of how I animate my models in muvizu, just remember this, I never made a Tutorial before and Im use to reading things to know what to say in videos like script, and Im not use to explaining things very well but I will try my very best, so if yaw still want me to try to make a tutorial just say yay...and I'll give it a go.

That would be totally your call, Clayster. Much as I'd like to say "go for it" I also know that everybody already has plenty to do ... for example, you are very busy with your star wars spoof animations, and that takes time. If you ever have a bunch of free time that you don't know how to use, I'm sure lots of people would like to see such a tutorial... but I don't think you should let it steal time from your star wars spoofs.

Thanks for that PatMarrNC, but I don't spend too much time on just one Video, The Empire tries to kick their butts on Hoth is going to be a big spoof, so I'm not letting that take all of my time, this why its taking loner in production, I have already made four other star wars spoof while still in production of that one, and may stop to take time to make another Finger Pistols Are Dangerous video, so I'm just saying Im always here to help, and Im glad to share what I know how to do to everyone, but please keep in mind I never done a tutorial before but im willing to try, even if I do make an dunce of myself...Lol!

The 2nd Trailer to Empire tries to Kick their Butt Heres a picture of the work in progress of the At At scene, I loaded the models in seperet parts then put them back together in muvizu, then Im using the Key Frame to animate each part, so far its going really well, but going to take a lot of time to get it done, because the are three At Ats in this scene so wish me luck!

Update on Star wars Spoof Hey everyone, sorry its been a while, had trouble with my PC, My Hard drive Fried, and the mother board suffered some damage, so I built me another Computer that's more faster and stronger, but due to the damage I lost a lot of The Empire Tries to kick their butts on Hoth files, but managed to salvage the first half of the spoof, so I started to rebuild the Hoth base Set but with better detail, and I'm pleased with the outcome so far, so just to show yaw that the project isn't dead here a few snapshots of the new set.
