What actions would Muvizuers like to have? I'd really like to see some sort of phone animation - one good reason for having this is that there TONS of funny prank call audio files that are just crying out to be animated!

Harb40 Passion Competition Just to clarify - these are the details from LAST YEAR'S competition.

It was intended to give people an idea about the previous competition, the 2011 competition will be held later this year and more details will be posted as they come available.

The competition will start around September and the theme, guidelines, prizes and where to submit will be officially posted in August.

Hopefully Harb40 will update us as and when he has more info.

Cheers,

Harb40 Passion Competition Harb40,

Welcome to Muvizu, and thanks for telling us about your competition. There are some pretty good prizes!

It's a little confusing though, as you've posted it here on the Muvizu forum, but there's no mention of Muvizu or the Unreal Engine in the "Engine" category - could this be updated?

For those of you who don't have Facebook, here is the info (copied and pasted it from FB).

"2010 Passion Competition
Rules and Guidelines
Passion is a concept that has been used in philosophy. It is different from the current popular connotation of passion which is associated with notions of romance and which is generally seen as a positive and good emotion. The philosophical notation, in contrast, is identified with an innate or biologically driven emotional states such as anger, greed, lust or the other deadly sins.

The Seven Deadly Sins

1. Lust is usually thought of as excessive thoughts or desires of a sexual nature.
2. Gluttony is generally thought of as over-indulgence or over- consumption to the point of waste. Most commonly associated with food.
3. Greed is, like lust and gluttony, a sin of excess. However, greed is applied to a very excessive or rapacious desire and pursuit of wealth, status, and power.
4. Sloth can be classified as laziness or the failure to utilize one’s talents and gifts.
5. Wrath may be described as inordinate and uncontrolled feelings of hatred and anger. Feelings of anger can manifest in different ways, including impatience, revenge, and vigilantism.
6. Envy, although similar to lust, is largely associated with material goods. Those who commit this sin resent that another person has something they perceive themselves as lacking, and wish the other to be deprived of it.
7. Pride, considered the original and most serious of the seven deadly sins, is identified as a desire to be more important or attractive than others, failing to acknowledge the good work of others, and excessive love of self.
The task at hand will be to make a film using two (2) or more of the Seven Deadly Sins.

Deleted and reposted the Troggs Tapes set file (the picture I'd used was bugging me, so I had to remove the whole thing to change it).

Thanks for the set Ziggy! You probably shouldn't have to re-upload the whole shebang just to change the preview image, I've suggested this to the web team (all two of them!) as an improvement.

Cheers

Gosh, now that you've crossed over to the 'dark side'...things are really...EEEEEEVIL!

I think I liked the nice Jim better :P

Jim's last day If the whole forum falls down, it's because Jim was holding it up with his left pinkie toe.

In the words of Edward Monkton:

"May the Chicken of Happiness and the Sausage of Prosperity follow you wherever you go."

Bye bye Jim, you'll be sorely missed.

Muvizu commercial use Ciao SilGra,

Welcome to the community!

Muvizu has a huge potential for use in language tuition, here is a sample video created with an early version of the application.

As Marco mentioned, the next step would be to get in touch with us directly with full details at:

comercial@muvizu.com

Grazie,

Emily.

What codec do you use and why? Also - probably the best sequence preset to go for would be AVC-Intra 100 720p 50Hz which would match the high-res output from Muvizu:

Video Settings
Frame size: 1280h 720v (1.0000)
Frame rate: 25.00 frames/second
Pixel Aspect Ratio: Square Pixels (1.0)

Best,

Emily.

What codec do you use and why? Ziggy,

I've had a few issues with Premiere too.

I've found this article incredibly useful, run through some of the relevant checks on there to see if there is anything that can help you out.

Cheers,

Emily.

this Muvizu is AWESOME!! Such geekery!!

Ah well, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

Here's my contribution:

I have to say, I do quite fancy a Tech-Sketch Light Pen.

Preferably without the demonic child...

Welcome to Muvizu.

To add lipstick, right click on the character, go to face>lips>lipstick and add a colour.

I don't know what fard is, sorry!

free range features! Oops - and yes it's a cool feature request. I was chatting with Barry about that the other day. We'll see...
2011/2/25 14:08:58
free range features! But I thought it was an octupus you were after?!

Make up your mind!

The vid that you are talking about used nothing as sophisticated as green screen.

I simply yoinked a sheep off Google SketchUp, and with a little help from Jim, I messed with the collision so that the blob character could hide away inside the sheep.

I adjusted the blob's eyes so that they were popping way out of his head.
You can see his belly moving a little if you look carefully.

Try it for yourself!

Break Up Lines Animated - Will You Help? Well done Ziggy!

My First Effort No problem Geoff!

Any problems/issues you come across, just post them on the forum here and someone will try to help you out.

Muvizu has worked really well in the past with community projects, even very young children are able to grasp it quickly (despite the odd bug here and there).

I had a look at your website - the animations you made with those kids are really sweet!
