It need a 2560x1440 image with a sort of 1000x200 banner in the center

Unfortunately, the changes on youtube/google are rather tyrannic Whaaaaa?

Posts: 1786 		meh they are trying to make the channels compatible with all types of viewing devices it was a much needed change due to the number of people surfing on tablets and smart tvs etc is going up but yeah they should change their banner

Posts: 179 		The mandatory white design is rather tyrannic if you're the owner of a black (or red, blue, pink, grey, etc.) youtube channel since 2005.

Posts: 1786 		Yeah I have had a channel since 2006. Times have changed. PC users are in the minority so they can't even see those backrounds on mobile devices. So I am unsure what is tyranical about a website design that lets more people see your main channel page and not less. Anyhow people tend to hate change and the new layout is a large change because its modernizing the pages to work on cell phones and tablets and smart tv's. Since they do change layout every year to keep up with the changes in times its not a huge deal. Its not like they all sat in a room and said "lets find a way to be mean to the people who use our platforms". They are just doing what any company does to keep its product current. They are attempting to please all their users and not just some. Most of their traffic doesnt even log into youtube. Big Grin

So this may bother you as a pc user but it should please you that they are in fact trying to make it so everyone can see your channel not just you the owner. After all youtube is a public access platform.

Posts: 2220 		I had a lot of trouble with this, and gave up! Youtube (owned by Google) does not like Google chrome when trying to change the banner. I think the weird pattern looks good for now, but Muvizu will have to change it at some point if they can.
