Anyone else have the same problem? I would load a .set file from the previous Muvizu into the newer Muvizu and several problems occur. Placement of objects, camera cuts, brightness and contrast controls, etc., are totally wrong.

We were instructed to install Muvizu right over the old Muvizu, but no one said anything about the .set files being incompatible. My solution is to have both versions (in two separate folders) available.

I have noticed that old set files seem to have a brighter environment lighting and have nudged that down a bit on opening old set files. Other than that, I have not noticed any problems. I can't really say that I've delved all that deeply or that my set files were ever very complex to begin with.

Very odd. Mine come out darker. I have to nudge it up. Maybe the graphics cards?

For me the old sets came out too bright as well - not a bit issue, since I expected to have to re-jig them a bit to suit the new engine. The main difference I noticed is how the light reacts to backdrops in it's path (completely different effect - nice, but requires some more work to understand how to manipulate it better).

I also noticed the change to the camera settings, BW, and it is a little annoying but hey, you'll have to tweak them a bit to suit the new lighting anyway so no big deal, really. I didn't notice any objects relocating anywhere, but that may be a set specific effect I've yet to experience.

Yeah - I've had lighting issues as well, but not on all sets.

I've had to turn up the illumination on backdrops to get them darker (no, I don't understand that either !)

Lighting seems to be the common "problem". The other things that I mentioned (i.e.; camera cuts, objects moved), I am wondering if having both the last two Muvizu programs installed together, is causing the problem. I removed the old Muvizu and they now work (knock on wood).

Hi Wally,

Sorry that you are having trouble. The lighting and camera effects, we know about. What problems are you having with camera cuts and objects exactly? The objects sometimes don't keep their 'can be stood on' property, is that what you mean? What issue are you having with camera cuts? I haven't seen any bugs there...although that doesn't mean that there aren't any :P

I have seen a few issues aswell, but it depends on what release the sets are from

I have sets from a few releases ago and there are loads of issues like (lights have all been deleted, locomotion is gone) not a biggy as ill never need these sets again.

From the release just before this one my sets seem pretty much fine for the most part, some lighting issues again, but not too hard to tweak if need be

Hello,

I also have an issue with the new 64 bits version of Muvizu.

Here is my config (OS & soft) : Windows 7 Pro 64 bits, old 32 bits version of Muvizu still installed, new 64 bits Muvizu installed in another directory.

With the old 32 bit version, I created some time ago a little movie (something like 2 mn) : 1 guy playing piano and singing, 1 girl singing.

I loaded the .set with the new 64 bit Muvizu. All is OK except that in the middle of the movie, the guy stop to play piano and don't move anymore, and the girl sit down (of course, she sit down on nothing) and start to play piano.

It is not very important to me so I did not investigate (try to load back into the 32 bit version to check for example) but it might be useful to know for the Muvizu Team.

Hi OMenor!

That's a bit odd, was the set created in the recent release, or in a previous one?
If possible, please send the set file to bugs@muvizu.com, then we can take a look at it.

Best,

Emily.

Hello Emily,

The set I used is included with Muvizu (living room with a yellow-orange-red carpet) and was just customized to fit my needs. I did it with the most recent version of Muvizu _before_ the new 32/64 bits revisions.
I will send the set as soon as I can confirm that it loads back with no problem into the old 32 bits revision (to validate my file is not corrupted in any way).

OK, bug report sent 2 minutes ago.

I add another bug (framerate video/sound + sound quality) in case you don't already know.
