Hi All,

I have finally finished another old time radio play. I could not find appropriate music for it, so I left it out. It is approx 35 minutes long. It took me about 8 weeks to make it.

The story is about Nel Pearson, a widow who rents rooms and she will experience an unpleasant surprise from one of her lodgers...

Sit back and enjoy the movie!

Just watched the whole movie, it was a well done thought out story. I especially like the stairs scene and your camera angles. Movie seem realistic enough and acting was great. Only dislikes I have is the dialing of the phone it seems too fast to be seen as real (but that's just me looking for any flaws at all) because it was a well done movie. I could see the time and thought process given to the script as well as the direction the movie was going in. The lighting suits the mood of the film as well

wow, excellent job Ikes! You put such thought into every aspect of your presentations! You could be an interior decorator.. all the rooms and outfits are tastefully decorated and colorized.

One thing I liked in particular is the way you portrayed them walking up the stairs... very clever

Thanks guys!

Too bad telephoning in muvizu is quite a challenge. I had to make the dialing of the numbers with the clapping action, there was no other way.

The interiors and the rooms come from sweet home 3d and converted to FBX with Daz 3D. Works quite well.

Ziggy has posted an arm/hand with protruding forefinger that can be keyframed for that very task (don't ask me where it is though... probably on his DL site... if you search the messages I'm sure it will come up)

Hi Pat,

I did download the arms of ziggy once, but didn't consider using them.

Indeed that is the sweet home 3d I mean. It's very handy to build rooms with, you can export the objects to OBJ and Daz studio can read it and export to FBX with all transparent windows and correct textures. The website has links to a lot of free furniture to download. You can also import sketchup models in sweet home 3d.

once again, you have given the forum an excellent idea! I'm going right now to DL it before I forget! based on the high quality of your sets for this video, it looks like a companion tool that will be very useful with Muvizu!

Thanks again for all the great ideas!

I think the use of audio from an old radio show to create this was fantastic. The plot and framework are all set for you but I still can't fathom the amount of work you put into it. It would take me weeks just to create the low-poly turkey, let alone one scene from your masterpiece.
I can't wait till you start animating the Perry Mason series. Kidding.
Thanks for making me aware of the audio / video resources on archive.org which I thought were just website captures.

This was so full of little details. I especially liked the lieutenant's office with the map, certificates and water filter - and even a toy police car on the window sill! The mirror scenes were really clever. Fabulous job, Ikes.

Thanks for the compliments! I did try to put in little details, glad you noticed them.

Indeed these audio plays are very suitable for animations, although a lot have really bad audio quality and are hard to understand. Perry Mason is that a judge or detective or something? I looked it up quickly, but it seems to be a serie, instead of sepperate stories.
