The medieval inn !

Hello and Happy new year for all

I'm glad to introduce you the medieval inn (exterior and interior) entirely updated from my old one : better details and collisions, ready to use in Muvizu.

Let me know if you like the idea to separate the first floor and the ground floor for easiest use (especialy for cameras)

Next to come : some medieval crockery !

Thanks Rocque, I'm glad you like it

Here is a new set : The medieval interior kit

With his 20 pieces, this set ideally complements the other packs of the medieval series for all your interior scenes.

More visuals : Wabbysland.com
Before working on abother (really) big other medieval set I continue the Sci-Fi series to complete the "modular spaceship corridors"

Opinion and feedback are welcome, as always !

Hi friends

I'm just finishing my latest set . It will be in the store next week.
It contains mountains, a detailed house, a wood porch, customized ground texturing, an old wood bench, an old fence and a water running fountain. All made by me for you.

It contains two barrels made by Nobiax, got from deviantart site, trees and one plant taken from sketchup warehouse 3D.

Hope you like it.

Rod,
BEAUTIFUL set, as usual for you! I don't know how to put into words what it is about all your stuff that appeals to me so much, but you have a sensibility that most of us seem to lack.

Speedking,
You have such an interesting design perspective... you come up with things that would never occur to me in a million years. I don't know where original thinking comes from, but you seem to be blessed with an abundance of it

Looks excellent! Surely thinking outside the box! I do have a problem viewing the flock of birds as seen in the video from youtube. Seems very dark and is not transparent at all. I did change the Defaultgame file line bstripvideoalpha from true to false, but no change. I can view other pics with transparencies, but not this one which appears to be an animated gif. ? Maybe someone could give me an idea to make this work right. thanks!

flying birds are just a still shot of a flock with transparent background. The animation comes from the backdrop. Basically any PNG with birds and a transparent background should work. The small size of the birds in Rod's set helps to disguise the fact that their wings aren't flapping.

Hi

Change m_bStripVideoAlpha=False at Muvizugame.ini.
Save it and try again.

Hey thanks guys for the prompt answer. I had the right line but the wrong file. I must have looked at the previous tips wrong. My eyes don't see so well like they used to . Or maybe my mind ... Anyway thanks again for a beautiful set as always. You guys are masters of the craft!

Hi all

During last days I was trying to create unexpected animation in imported 3d models. As all know that is not possible in Muvizu. Well... if it is not possible could we fake it!
Take a look ...

Without video edition tricks.

Rod, that is AWESOME! Thanks for taking time to share your discovery! I will add this tutorial to the WIKI.

I couldn't read all the menus, but am I correct in concluding that you created the animation by cycling through 3 textures, each of which only textured one of the wing positions, leaving the other two invisible?

yeah, Ikes.. it reminds me of your multiple jaws for T-Rex, and animating the visibility of each jaw.
(Speaking of which... did you ever make a tutorial on how you did that? If so, it needs to be archived in the WIKI so its easier to find....)

I'm guessing that both approaches would take about the same amount of work if animated on the Muvizu time line, although it looks like Rod found a way to loop the texture change in After Effects, which would make it easier.

Both approaches add huge new possibilities to create actions that will never exist in the Muvizu environment alone. My hat is off to both of you for your original thinking plus your willingness to share your ideas with others! That's part of what makes this a great forum!

I agree, simply amazing. I am so glad I got to see this. It is so far above anything I can do, but it is great to see how something like this is done, even if after watching I still really do not know what you did. I recognize that man in the 3-D axis from some site I visited and then decided I did not have time to learn it right now.

I am happy that you have the time to do this and share it with us Rod and Ikes.

Thanks Rocque.

And Pat, I attached and positioned multiple jaws in different slots and key framed their visibility, so it's another approach than Rod. I think Rods animated trick is especially handy in a cyclic motion.

Yes, it's true
A simple animation where each texture appears in every two frames (or more) depending on video rate and cycling frequency. Animated texture must have background transparency enabled meaning RGBA video ( alfa channel enabled).

In my latest demo I used Premiere Pro Captions for the very first time but it seems not working at wall in youtube video. I have to correct that other way people will not undestand.

Thanks for your kind comments on this workaround.
